Took the drift boat to Cooper Lake to fish for the stocked trout. It was a bit windy so anchored up in the West end near the river opening. Caught a total of 8 fish across two people and had success with both dry and wet flies. Stunning scenery and great fishing, I highly reccomend!
Fished from the shore today along the Skagit River. The river was big and wide and we were able to see the rainbow trout in deep pools. The river was a little murky South of the Souk intersection but besides that the clarity is prime. Fishing was great and we saw a few elk!
Fished for pink salmon around hood canal. Had the most success trolling a buzz bomb through Quilcene Bay at the mouth of the Dosewallips River. At times, the fishing was so eventful we couldn't keep the net in the boat. In total, we caught 7 fish and plan on making smoked salmon!
